President's Message

Welcome to the Christiana Rotary Club website and thank you for your interest. This website contains much of the information you will need to know about who we are and what we do. Very simply put...we are good people doing great things for those in need. If you're looking for the opportunity to make a difference while enjoying other community leaders in weekly fellowship... we may be the club for you.

We are very proud of our past accomplishments and look forward to even bigger and better things in the future.  We are especially proud of the organizatons we support. Such organizations  doing great work include Canine Partners for Life, Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware, Ronald McDonald House and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Delaware.  We also take pride in supporting smaller organizations you may not be aware of such as Camp Possibilities, Boots on the Ground, and Locks of Love. Perhaps our  greatest project of the past year was our Holiday Shopping Drive to support over 60 orphans in the State of Delaware.

We enjoy our collaborations with our local neighbors, but our support doesn't stop there. We have participated in several international projects over the past several years, including financial support towards water wells and hospital construction in Africa. Did you know that Rotary International is leading the fight towards the world wide elimination of Polio?  You say you haven't heard about Polio in the news for a long, long time? Rotary International is the reason why. Polio still exists, but with the continued efforts of Rotary International... it won't for long.

At Christiana Rotary, we offer financial support to those in need...but we also enjoy " hands-on" projects. Such projects over the past several years include the before-mentioned Holiday Shopping Drive supporting local orphans, as well as clean up projects at Boys & Girls Clubs, local elementary schools and Canine Partners for Life. These projects allow us to do more than write checks- it also provides us a chance to get closer to each other.
