Attendance


CLUB MEETINGS - Regular weekly meetings are held every Thursday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Christiana Hilton Hotel. Throughout the year, members are expected to attend at least 60 percent of the meetings. Make-up meetings are counted toward your 60 percent attendance. If you attend a meeting at another Club, whether here in the U.S. or abroad, a receipt will be given to you to verify your attendance.

 

BOARD MEETINGS - Christiana Rotary Board Meetings are held the second Friday of every month. A new member is required to attend a Board Meeting within 3 months of becoming a member. After that, attendance at Board meetings is not required, but it is encouraged.

 

CLUB FUNCTIONS - Members are urged to participate in the Club’s service projects and social events. A description of these projects and events can be found on this website by clicking on The Four Avenues Of Service.


Financial Commitment


MANDATORY- Each member is billed quarterly. Bills are distributed at meetings unless previous arrangements have been made to have them mailed.

 

            Weekly commitment: $15 per meeting (regardless of attendance)

 

            Quarterly commitment: $50 per quarter for Rotary Membership Dues 

 

            Annual commitment: $230 for the Club’s fundraiser (golf tournament)---This amount can be contributed in a number of ways rather than just by writing a check. Members can recruit golfers, sell signs, sell program ads, obtain auction items, obtain give-a-way items, and sell sponsorships. A value is placed on what is done, and as long as the total value is at least $230, the commitment is considered fulfilled.

 

VOLUNTARY - Contribution to Paul Harris Foundation. This is the official foundation of Rotary International. Arrangements can be made to have the contributions included on your quarterly bill.
